From a young age, Matt Smith felt a deep calling to leadership. Growing up as a “PK” (Pastor’s Kid), he was blessed with a firsthand view of pastoral ministry, which affirmed God’s call for him to serve in the local church. His greatest passion is helping others fall in love with Jesus and guiding them on their journey as disciples.

 

Matt faithfully served in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference from 2007 until 2021, when he accepted the humbling call to become the Lead Pastor of Forest Lake Church. Since July 2021, he has found great joy in witnessing God’s work in Central Florida and in leading a church family committed to faith, community, and service.

 

Matt is married to the love of his life, Jenn, and together they share the joy of raising their two wonderful boys, Caffrey and Canaan.
